Welcome to the Class

Welcome to SGD165. My name is Marc Tucker. I am your instructor. This course provides students with an introduction to character development. The student will learn the different types of characters and their roles in a story. Different techniques will be discussed on how to get ideas to create interesting characters. We will also examine the different attributes that make up fully developed characters. As the student develops his/her characters, they will also place them in a scene, and develop a story around them. Other topics will also include creating effective dialogue, and the basics of theatrical stage fighting which will play into the Final Projects of the students. This is a project oriented class, there are no formal tests or exams. Please read the following information carefully.
